The New York City Marathon course
The New York City Marathon is a five-borough point-to-point that opens with the climb over the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge from Staten Island into Brooklyn. The long Brooklyn stretch up Fourth Avenue is where most of the race is run, before a short leg through Queens.
The Queensboro Bridge into Manhattan is the quiet, lonely climb that breaks open onto the wall of sound on First Avenue. After a loop through the Bronx, the course returns down Fifth Avenue and into Central Park for the final miles to the finish near Tavern on the Green.
A route that touches all five boroughs is made for a map you can read. Cairn draws your line across the real city grid and bridges, exactly as you ran it.
