Marathon poster
Marathon finisher poster: your 26.2 on the wall
You trained for months and covered 26.2 miles. The medal goes in a drawer. A Cairn marathon poster puts your exact course on a real map, framed and on the wall where it belongs, whether it was Boston, London, Berlin, or a local community race.
Upload the GPX from your race app. No account needed, ships in days.

The wall beats the drawer
A marathon medal means everything on the day and spends the rest of its life in a box. Your finisher route on a real map stays visible, starts conversations, and marks the achievement every time someone walks past.
Your actual race course
Export the GPX from Strava, Garmin, or any race tracker app and Cairn maps your precise route over the real city streets you ran. The poster shows the start, the turns, the finish, and the miles in between.
A gift any runner will love
If you are buying for someone else, a framed marathon poster of their race is a gift they cannot buy themselves off the shelf. It is specific to them, to that day, and to those 26.2 miles.
From the finish line to your wall, in three moves.
No app to learn, no measuring, no typing your stats. The route does the talking.

The route is the art
The line you drew, over the ground you covered.
Your GPS line runs bright across a real map of the place you moved through, restyled into our warm terrain look so the route stays the hero. Deep pine for the land, chalk for the paper, ember for the path.
Below it sits the elevation you climbed and the stats that made the day yours: distance, moving time, pace, date. Nothing borrowed, nothing faked. The proof is the picture.
Pan and zoom it. Scroll and the same line restyles.
Real routes, real maps, six curated styles
A marathon poster that carries the weight of the day
A marathon is one of the most demanding things a person can choose to do. The training, the taper, the morning of, the wall somewhere after mile 20, and then the finish. Most people collect a medal and a finishing photo, and that is where the commemoration ends. A framed poster of your actual route is a different kind of mark: it shows the course, the city, and the distance in a form that works as art and as a record of what you did.
Cairn draws your GPS track over a real map basemap, so the poster reads as a genuine place. If you ran London, the Thames bends are there. If you ran Chicago, the lakefront is there. If you ran a small-city marathon whose course winds through neighbourhoods only locals recognise, those streets are there too. Your finish time, total distance, and elevation profile sit beneath the map. Browse the races index to see if your event already has a preset route ready to customise.
Poster prices start at $45 for the Small size, $65 for Medium, and $95 for Large. The Framed Edition ships ready to hang with a solid wood frame and acid-free mat, from $95 to $215 by size. Buying as a gift? Add the route for a friend or partner who just finished their race, and Cairn ships direct. For something to wear, the same course prints on a tee for $42 or a hoodie for $72.

The finish that earned a frame.
Trained eighteen months for Boston and the medal lives in a drawer. The print lives over my desk. I see every turn of the course before every long run.
Gave my dad his first century ride for his sixtieth. He stood in the kitchen tracing the route across the valley for my mom. That was the gift.
The swim across the lake felt like it happened to someone else until it was on the wall, the whole shoreline laid out. Now it's the first thing guests ask about.

Made to outlast the memory.
We print on heavyweight museum-grade matte paper with archival pigment inks, the kind that hold their depth for decades without fading. Framed editions come in solid wood with an acid-free mat, ready to hang out of the box. Every order is made to order and shipped protected, never rolled loose in a tube.

Questions, answered.
How do I get the GPX for my marathon?+
If your GPS watch or phone tracked the race, open the activity in Strava, Garmin Connect, or your device app and export the GPX file. Most running apps have an export option on the activity detail page. Upload that file to Cairn and your exact finisher route is mapped.
Can I make a poster for any marathon, not just major races?+
Yes. Cairn works with any GPS track, so any marathon you ran with a recording device can become a poster: world majors, local community races, charity events, and ultras. The races index has presets for popular events, but any personal GPX works too.
What does a marathon finisher poster cost?+
Posters are $45 (Small), $65 (Medium), and $95 (Large). The Framed Edition, ready to hang with a wood frame and mat, runs from $95 to $215 by size. Prices are fixed and shown before you check out.
Is a marathon poster a good gift for a runner?+
It is one of the most personal gifts you can give. A poster of their specific race course, with their real GPS route and stats, is something they would not think to buy themselves. Cairn ships direct, so you can order on their behalf and have it delivered straight to them.
What if I do not have the GPX but I know the race?+
Check the races index: popular marathons have preset course routes ready to design from. If your race is not listed yet, you can often download an official course GPX from the race website or from platforms like Strava or Garmin that may have the route on file.
